What will kids do each day?

One of the keys to building confidence is in setting goals. WIN students use a Calendar/Planner to learn the basics of setting and achieving goals. Each day when your child arrives at WIN he/she sets a daily goal, ranging from "build a 5-foot Lego skyscraper" to "have a positive attitude." As students achieve goals the classroom celebrates with high-fives and cheers. Students are encouraged to continue to make goals for the rest of the year.
We believe boosting creativity means allowing kids to set their own time constraints and rules on activities. WIN classrooms are set up utilizing many different activity stations. Students move from station to station, enjoying individual, partner, team and teacher-led activities.

Lego Station:
Students work independently or in teams to create Lego masterpieces, follow and give verbal and written instructions, and explore engineering pieces into useful tools.

Art Station:
Students access supplies to ignite their imaginations through painting, clay, sculptures, and recycled mixed media.

Tinkering Station:
Students use safe tools, materials, and mediums to create DIY projects, design robots, and overcome obstacles.

Wild Science:
Students pose difficult questions, perform science experiments, and find answers revolving around space, the earth, and social sciences, too!

Games:
Remember playing board games and card games with the neighborhood kids? Your kids can enjoy the same experiences as they practice math, reading and strategy skills with classics like Monopoly, Chess, and Yahtzee!

Kidpreneur:
Sometimes students set goals that require a little business savvy. Students are guided through the process of starting a business or launching a product, solving problems, and learning through trial and error.
