What is the Win Room School House?
The Win Room School House is an educational model that plays on the traditional one room school house, grouping kids in grades K-5 together. Kids enjoy the opportunity to teach and learn from each other. Instead of desks and a teacher, the Win Room model uses exploration stations, a project facilitator and mentors.
Is it a school?
No! This model can be used in your own home, neighborhood or school. The Win Room School House offers co-working spaces in select cities for members to gather together and enjoy the model cooperatively. Members should follow homeschooling protocols according to their state laws, or use the model as an extra-curricular activity.
What do kids learn?
The Win Room model asks, "What do you want to be when you grow up? What do you care about?" Members are encouraged to follow their passion and curiosity to create a project and gain new skills. Kids learn basic life skills including reading, math, cooking, and problem-solving.
What's super exciting about this educational program?
By the end of the quarter each child is matched with a Success Mentor who shares their vocational interests. The Success Mentor is invited for lunch to chat and encourage the child! This is an exciting opportunity for a child to learn from an expert and gain real-life connections.
What about lunch?
Lunch may be provided in your neighborhood location and may be a part of the daily activities at the co-working space.
If your kid has allergies or dietary restrictions, bring a lunch initially!

Who is the facilitator?
Win Room facilitators vary from location to location, but are experienced and trained in supporting children by asking questions and providing resources. More information available upon request.
Can kids with special needs become members?
Yes, absolutely! The Win Room model meets all children where they are at, developmentally, academically and socially. A typical day at the co-working space will mimic a day in the real world. A child who has been labeled as "needing help" can find unique strengths and ways to cope in the adult world with the Win Room model.
What if my kid doesn't want to be anything when he/she grows up?
We can't wait to meet your kid! About 1 in 20 kids has no clue what they want to be, or what they care about. The child might be shy about sharing, or overwhelmed with the possibilities. In some cases, the child may be destined for a profession or hobby that hasn't yet been invented! No pressure! Activities are available throughout the day at independent, collaborative and facilitated stations. Through exploration and play your child may find a passion, and in the process will build a portfolio of important skills.
Why is this a quarterly program?
The Win Room model mimics the adult or business world as much as possible in order to prepare kids for adulthood. The business world runs on quarters! Three month periods give children ample time to set and achieve goals, connect with Success Mentors, and build a portfolio. Become a member for the whole year, or just for the quarters that fit your schedule!
