How to use it:
- Download and print. We like to use a nice colorful piece of paper!
- Frame and post at child's height.
- Hand your kiddos a dry-erase marker and ask them how they're feeling.
- Let the kids draw a circle around their feelings, or cross out the feelings they are not. Let them get creative with it as they scope out the emotions.
- Challenge your kids to identify how others in the household are feeling. You might be surprised! Take the opportunity to explain your actual feelings.
Free 8.5 x 11 Feelings Poster
Sure, the poster was good for the kids, but what we weren't expecting was for it to save our marriage! We have small charts in the cars, and the big poster hanging prominently at home. This is a tool the whole family uses now as we learn to self-assess, communicate and validate.
